“This was a perfect cottage for my family group!”

Brilliantly situated at the top of Port Isaac with sea views, each bedroom having its own bathroom, two parking spaces and really well equipped, we had a very comfortable stay. The cottage was clean and bright, and the heating kept it lovely and warm. John Brae were very responsive as agents. Yes the furniture and walls need a bit of refreshing, but it was end of season, and we thought overall it was great value for money. One small suggestion that the downstairs rooms might benefit from some kind of net/ privacy curtain as people do frequently walk past , so you then wouldnt have to keep the curtains/ blind shut whenever you are in them.

The property

Pendragon House is a contemporary holiday cottage in Port Isaac ideally located within an easy 5 minute walk from both the delightful little fishing harbour, as featured in the television series ‘Doc Martin’, and the picturesque Port Gaverne.

Offering stylish accommodation for a group getaway or for the whole family it can cater up to 6 guests in 3 en-suite bedrooms - see notes below for bed configuration.

Pendragon has the added convenience of private parking for two cars and accepts one pet by arrangement. Designed with the views in mind, the sociable living space is located on the first floor with sea and coastal views towards Tregardock from the sitting room and rural views over to Roscarrock Hill from the kitchen.

Flooded with light, the first floor is a great place to relax after a long day exploring the coast; sink down into one of the comfortable sofas in front of a real log fire with a favourite novel, or prepare a home cooked meal in the well-equipped custom-made, hand painted kitchen.

The third bedroom and a separate shower room can also be found on this floor.

The ground floor offers two generous sized bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room and the other with an en-suite bathroom and separate shower.

All bedrooms have either Super King size or two single beds for added flexibility. With so much to do on your doorstep, you can forget about your car when staying at Pendragon.

Try walking out onto Lobber Point and follow the coastal footpath over the cliff tops towards Port Quin, care of the National Trust.

Finish up at ‘Fresh From the Sea’ café, just a stone’s throw from Pendragon’s front door and enjoy a glass of wine with oysters.

With an endless choice of restaurants all within walking distance, why not book yourself in for a memorable evening at Restaurant Nathan Outlaw for the seafood tasting menu, all caught off the Cornish Coast? About the location

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.

The beds in all bedrooms are Superking as standard if you require any of these to be unlinked to make twin beds please contact us at least 7 Days before arrival
