“Thank you for a lovely holiday.”

The location and views were fantastic. Loved the 2 ensuites and allowed the children to have a room each with a TV for each of us thank you I did struggle to work the oven so would be really good to have all the instructions in a welcome booklet. The cleanliness of the piace not so good either lots of dust, hoover needs an upgrade and more zoom to its power. And lastly an outdoor shower for wetsuits would be very handy. But thank you we love Port Issac and will be back. Xx

Also on this floor is a bright, contemporary bathroom.Port Isaac harbour is a pretty and vibrant fishing village with lots of shops, galleries, tea rooms and restaurants on offer.

Better known as the fictional village of Port Wenn in Doc Martin, it has also been featured in Poldark and Saving Grace.

A wonderful, peaceful place to sit and watch the world go by, relax with a cream tea or a handmade pasty before you head off to explore the stunning coastal paths and you won't be disappointed.

Take a stroll down to swim at the pretty nearby cove at Port Gaverne, or for the more daring, swim out and climb the rocks before launching yourself back into the brisk, clear waters at high tide.

Try rock pooling, beach combing and stone skimming from this shingled cove before popping over to the bar at the Port Gaverne Inn for refreshments.

A 20-minute drive away could take you to the pounding surf at Polzeath or the sheltered sandy bay at Daymer.

The busy town of Wadebridge with its supermarkets, shops, cinema and leisure centre is only 8 miles away.Ground Floor Bedroom 3: King size bed (5ft) , sea views, en-suite shower room/WC. About the location

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.
