  • I

“I will not deal with any organisation that refuses to accept phone calls and will not enter into dialogue (emails at the very least).”

We knew nothing about a key to the garage to get access to the garden sunshade. The BBQ arrived on our last day. It would have been helpful to know that the rubbish is collected very early on Thursday morning, 30% of our rubbish remained because we missed the collection, being too busy vacuuming etc prior to departure.

Thankyou for your feedback, we are sorry to hear that you had issues trying to get hold of us. We are aware of the issue and have made strides to improve this service. We will investigate the garage key, the owners had bought a brand new BBQ as the old one was in need of replacement. Our apologies that this arrived towards the end of your stay. We state the waste collection is on Thursdays in our welcome folder in the property. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. The property

Chimings is a light, airy, contemporary bungalow with secluded, enclosed south-facing garden, sleeping six people in 3 bedrooms.

Tucked-away in a peaceful residential area, it is well situated away from the bustle, yet the village shops are conveniently within walking distance and the splendid sandy beaches at Rock, Daymer or Polzeath are only 5 minutes away by car.

Joining the footpath across fields, it’s an easy stroll to the sands and rock pools at Porthilly cove.

Recently refurbished and extended, this is a warm & welcoming, calm place to holiday, equally for families and for groups of friends.

A comfy couch, large table, and doors to the front garden make the open-plan kitchen a bright and attractive place to cook, eat and socialise.

And you can chill out in the spacious, sunny sitting-room, with its roof lantern, wood-burner, leather sofas and cosy armchairs.

Mellow oak flooring runs through much of the property, and large patio doors open on to the pretty back garden, where children and pets can safely play.

Views of green Cornish countryside can be seen on the far horizon.

From the relaxation of this holiday bolthole, you can venture out to explore and experience the best that North Cornwall has to offer.

Walk across Porthilly beach to Rock, with its sailing club, ski school , renowned golf courses and shops, cafes and restaurants.

Beautiful coastal walks lead downriver past endless sand dunes to Brae Hill and Daymer Bay; a lovely beach for young children, swimmers of any age and energetic windsurfers on a breezy day.

Visit Polzeath for the ultimate surfer's beach; ideal for all abilities with a fun holiday atmosphere.
