    “Lovely cottage and well equipped.”

Lovely outdoor space in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine. Addressing the strong mould smell that others mentioned - we live in an old cottage and there are always issues. This is an old property, and there really needs to be a bit of an allowance for that. We found that opening/running the fan in the kitchen window and running the dehumidifier, worked wonders. The bed in the main bedroom was super comfortable (there were only two of us, so we didn't need the 3rd floor bedroom). Bedding was ...

Bedding was lovely and soft. Towels were fluffy and thick. Cottage could have been slightly cleaner, but we've been in worse. The hoover was completely full when we went to hoover on our penultimate day. We emptied it but there was minimal suction. Possibly could just be the filters needing a clean. Overall, a lovely cottage. It's an old cottage - it's lovely for what it is. We would go back.

About the location

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.

Please note: The stairs to the top floor attic bedroom are narrow and steep with limited headroom. The small outside decking area is not suitable for unaccompanied children. The steps up to the front door are steep so may not be suitable for people with mobility problems.
The wood burner is not for guests use.

The parking space is located 50m up the road from the property in the Quarry Car Park.
