Be sure to stock up on local produce at either Trevathan Farmshop or just up the road, Sea View Farm Shop.
Heading south, children will enjoy rockpooling at Port Quin and paddling at low tide or adults can swim and snorkel at high tide.
Further afield, spend a day at Polzeath or take the foot ferry from Rock to Padstow to play mini golf and feast in Rick Stein or Paul Ainsworth's restaurants.
