“Having stayed here several time we think that the seating in the living room could be replaced to make it more comfortable as the sofas/chairs are okd and not very comfortable!”

Also we would urge the owners to include linen in the cottage as other owners of holiday cottages do include linen.

The property

Quay Cottage 2 is the epitome of the waterside Cornish cottage, superbly situated on the quay at Rock with direct access onto the beach.

Sleeping 8-10 guests in four light-filled bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, it is suitable for an extended family or group of friends.

Well-equipped and completely modernised, the immediate proximity to the water pervades every single room in this picturesque spot.The main bedroom has an ensuite and a double bed; the 3 further twin bedrooms with an additional twin divan in the sitting room (suitable for children).

The highlight of your holiday must surely be al fresco dining on the lovely slate terrace enjoying uninterrupted views right across the Camel estuary.Sip a chilled glass of Cornish champagne whilst enjoying the hustle and bustle of the river activities.

Sample as many as you wish out of fishing, sailing, crabbing, water ski-ing; in fact the sky is the limit!

Onshore options include golf, rambling on coastal paths, spotting bird and sea-life as you cycle along the Camel trail.

Nearby the surfing beach of Polzeath beckons, as do the gourmet delights of Port Isaac with Nathan Outlaw, and Rick Stein in Padstow.

About the location

ROCK

Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
