“Well equipped house this is the second time we have stayed.”

Great size bedrooms and 3 good bathrooms . Lovely quiet location close to the newsagent and Fees Food. Would prefer bedding and towels to be included in the rental.

“This was our 3rd visit to Penolver, and we really love the property.”

It definitely feels like a home from home and is very well maintained with all the essentials you need in an holiday property. It is well located for all our favourite places in Rock/Daymer Bay. The garden is a lovely space and we particularly enjoy the use of the hot tub. Penolver will always be our go to property in Rock as long as it is available.

“Well kitted out kitchen with non stick pans that actually worked!”

Unusual in holiday lets. Need hooks on back of doors especially in bathrooms. Tv was too small. Great to have Alexa! The cleaning needs improving lots of cobwebs and dust in corners and behind bedside cabinets. Good comfy sofas! House looking lovely outside well maintained but needs gutters on front. We really enjoyed our stay thank you

“The house is well appointed and very comfortable.”

Not sure what £30 for an extra deep clean covered and the end toilet seat was very loose. Otherwise lovely terrace and garden, hot tub worth the extra cost and capacious car park appreciated.

The £30 for an extra clean was an old policy we used to employ if guests did not wish to leave the property in the same state as they found it (bagging the used linen and towels, taking out the bins etc.). However, this is not something we offer anymore and ask all guests to leave the property as they found it. “Thank you for your email, we all had a wonderful holiday thank you.”

The cottage was lovely as was the location and was perfect for our children, particularly the garden. We loved how easy it was to go across to Padstow on the ferry too. We really did enjoy the cottage, the kitchen was well stocked with crockery, glasses, etc and the dishwasher had a great quick cycle! The house flowed really well and the garden was fabulous, it was lovely and private and the built in BBQ was really well thought out. The decor was very nice too and the beds very comfy:-)

The property

A delightful sun-drenched and spacious bungalow, Penolver Lodge is finished to a high standard and located just off the Rock road in north Cornwall.

Light filled and contemporary accommodation, the holiday property sleeps 8 guests comfortably in 4 bedrooms with three bathrooms.

Penolver Lodge has a secluded south facing enclosed garden and sun terrace, with a fitted BBQ so you can enjoy long alfresco family meals.

The property also benefits from a hot tub; which is available at an additional weekly charge.Within walking distance of the shops, St Enodoc golf course and Rock beach, the property has ground floor access, as well as an outdoor hot tub - perfect for indulgent evenings spent counting the stars!

There is ample parking and space for all your surf boards and sailing gear.Nearby Rock, is known for its wide choice of restaurants and water sports on offer, with moorings for boats and sailing craft for hire.

From here you can catch the day-trip ferry to Padstow for a spot of retail therapy, or just soak up the views as you explore Camel Estuary and walk the wide sandy beach that wraps around to Daymer Bay, with its sheltered crystal clear swimming waters.Accommodation: Entrance Hall Kitchen Dining Room/Lounge open plan with patio doors to terrace and garden Bedroom 1: Kingsize Bed (5 ft) with en-suite Bathroom/W.C. About the location

ROCK

Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.

Please note, this property does not include bedlinen or towels. You are welcome to bring your own with you, or you can hire items direct from Eco-Laundry who will deliver your order in a bag to your holiday home.
