“I booked this for other members of our family to stay in while we were staying in Gullsway:Kittiwake down below.”
The Annexe seemed to us to be brighter and more spacious than in the pictures. Remember that it is a traditional Cornish holiday house, at a very fair price for the location - so, not perfect and modern, but perfectly acceptable for an enjoyable week's holiday, and with original features. Heaters and double-glazing made it very cosy even in February. Views are great, as noted in other reviews. The Annexe and Kittiwake aren't directly connected - you really need to go outside and back in again via another door (although you can go through one of the Kittiwake bedrooms at a pinch, but that's a bit awkward). But Kittiwake is big enough to take everyone for meals, lounging about, etc., if needed - or you can split up between the different spaces. So... quirky. Some points noted by my family for the owners/Sykes:
- single mattresses very comfortable, double mattress not so much
- new loo brush please
- the key box for The Annexe is labelled Kestrel - an old name assumably - but it is a little confusing if one arrives late at night!
- the code for the key box wasn't included in the email sent to us - I assumed there wasn't one until I got there and we couldn't get in!
These are small things. Given the price and location, this was an excellent addition to Kittiwake.
Thank you for your feedback. we are pleased you enjoyed your stay at The Annex. We will pass on your comments to the owner regarding a new loo brush and the name on the keybox. We look forward to welcoming you to Gullsway again soon.
Many Thanks
